Vani Integrated School for Hearing Impaired, Patiala
UltraTech Cement Limited constructed a toilet block, comprising four units, to provide proper sanitation facilities (girls & boys) to 150 students at the school. The school had faced issues in offering adequate toilets, leading to health concerns for students. The ‘Swachh Vidyalaya Swachh Punjab Abhiyan’ aims to improve hygiene and sanitation across schools through improved water and sanitation facilities. The inauguration of the toilet block was done by Showkat Ahmed Parray, Deputy Commissioner, Patiala, in the presence of Manohar Lal, Unit Head, Rajpura Cement Works, a unit of UltraTech Cement Limited. Parray applauded the efforts of UltraTech and appreciated for work towards health and hygiene and sanitation for special students. Principal Sukhchain Kaur Virk School were present along with school staff, parents and school students. The principal thanked the Deputy Commissioner and UltraTech guests and gave a token of appreciation to UltraTech through the Deputy Commissioner.
