Embarking on a joyful journey, Seth AnandramJaipuria School, Ghaziabad, participated in the first-ever Virtual India Toy Fair 2021 held from February 27 to March 4. The school was among the 22 schools across India that got a chance to showcase their created toys to promote the underlying themes of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ and Vocal for Local campaigns.

The event was inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi who highlighted the salient features of Indian toys that not only entertain children but also help kids initiate into the world of scientific theories. He also emphasized the use of environmentally friendly toys that will boost children’s creativity.

It was the first-ever digitally accessible exhibition and platform that provided an opportunity to its audience to explore and buy a variety of toys from over 1,074 exhibitors & 60 toy clusters across states and union territories, and participate in insightful webinars, panel discussions / activities, and network with various stakeholders from the toy industry.

The main attractions of the fair included a virtual exhibition with over 1,000 stalls, knowledge sessions with engaging panel discussions and webinars on diverse topics by experts on areas including toy-based learning, craft demonstrations, competitions, quizzes, virtual tours, product launches, etc.

For the education sector, in particular, the knowledge sessions involving various experts focused on areas emphasised in the NEP 2020 such as play-based and activity-based learning, indoor and outdoor games, use of puzzles and toys to promote innovative thinking, as well as make learning more engaging and enjoyable.
