Khushdeep”s Class XII score card — English 95, History 95, Political Science 95, Hindi 95, Computers 96 – speaks volumes of his intelligence and grit to triumph against all odds. Besides, he also had music as an additional subject, in which he scored 94 marks.
While talking to The Tribune, Khushdeep said “I studied 6-7 hours a day using YouTube audio clips, which helped me a lot in scoring good marks.”
Earlier, he was compelled to study out of station as local schools could not provide him the required facilities. However, he insisted his parents make other arrangements.
Khushdeep’s father Gurjit Singh said his son had made him as well as the village proud. They would now send him for higher studies, he added.
SAD president and MP Sukhbir Singh Badal also called up Khushdeep and congratulated him for his feat. Sukhbir said “It was a pleasure to interact with Khushdeep. By scoring 95 per cent in Class XII, he has proved that with sheer grit nothing is impossible. My best wishes to him for a bright future.”
