Winners of drawing competition felicitated


University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Panjab University felicitated the participants and winners of Drawing Competition, an outreach activity through Google Meet, recently. The theme of the competition was "Covid 19 Awareness and its Management". The event was organised to make students and public more aware about Covid 19 and to give a platform to budding artists to showcase their creativity.

Under this outreach activity the entries were invited March from school students of the tricity and the neighbouring states under two categories: category I for Class VI to VIII and category II for Class IX to XII.

The event was successfully organised by Dr Anurag Kuhad, Dr Neelima Dhingra and Dr Sangeeta Pilkhwal Sah under the guidance of Professor Indu Pal Kaur, Chairperson, UIPS.

More than 38 participants took part in the competition. The winners were awarded with a cash prize and certificate of excellence. Their drawings with the name, school and city would be shared on all the social handles like Instagram, Facebook, twitter and LinkedIn of UIPS.

In category 1 (Class VI to VIII), 1st position was bagged by Mehul Garg, a student of Class VII at Ankur School, Chandigarh; 2nd position by Rachit Jangra, a student of Class VI of St. John's High School, Chandigarh and 3rd position by Jagseer Singh, a student of Class VI of Shivalik Kids School, Jaitu. The consolation prize was awarded to Akshay Jain, a student of Class VI of Manav Mangal High School, Chandigarh and Pranav (Class VII), of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh.

Under category 2 (Class IX to XII) 1st position was bagged by Nandini Kumari (Class XII) from Army Public School, Chandimandir, Panchkula and consolation prize was awarded to Shorya Gupta ( Class IX) from St. John's High School, Chandigarh.

Shivalik Kids School, Jaitu was awarded the certificate of appreciation for maximum participation of students.
