A one-day workshop titled “Educating parents about education” was organised at Sri Aurobindo Public School, Baddi, under the initiative of the CBSE, Panchkula. The session was led by Jaya Bhardwaj (Principal, Hans Raj Public School, Panchkula), who was honoured with the National Award for Excellence in Education by former President Pratibha Patil in 2011.The other resource person was Neetu Jhaata , who was awarded the Certificate of Excellence by AWWA for successfully implementing the New Education Policy in her school. In the workshop, principals and teachers from various schools under the CBSE, Panchkula, actively participated. The main objective of the programme was to train educators to create awareness among parents about the importance of quality education and modern teaching methods for children. The workshop also focused on how parents can actively engage in their children’s learning. It emphasised that educating a child is a shared responsibility of schools and parents.
