Workshop on “Understanding animals and their welfare” at AKSIPS-45 School, Chandigarh

The school organised an enlightening workshop on “Understanding animals and their welfare” to promote compassion, empathy, and responsible behaviour toward animals among students. The session was part of the school’s ongoing efforts to instil values of kindness and environmental awareness in young minds. Experts and animal welfare advocates from Peedu’s People engaged students through interactive discussions, informative presentations, and real-life stories of animal rescue and rehabilitation. Highlights of the workshop include importance of respecting animals and understanding their needs, insights into proper care for pets and stray animals, discussion on animal rights and laws protecting them in India. Students participated enthusiastically and shared their own experiences with animals, reflecting a deep sense of empathy and awareness. The event concluded with a pledge by students to treat all animals with kindness and to spread awareness about animal welfare in their communities.
