Students of St Soldier School attend a road safety workshop



St. Soldier School, Mohali

In an effort to create enlightenment about road safety, the Department of Traffic Police, Mohali, conducted a workshop. ASI Janak Singh along with his team apprised the students from classes XI & XII about road safety measures like wearing of an ISI mark helmet, seat belt, abstaining from the consumption of drugs and alcohol while driving and abiding by the guidelines of Covid -19 at all times. Youngsters were also informed about various monetary penalties in case of violation of traffic rules. Issues like road rage, underage driving, over speeding, carrying requisite documents of vehicles were discussed at length. They were also informed about the driving laws and how these regulations, if properly followed, could save many lives.


DAV Public School, Alampur

A clean and green Diwali was celebrated by the school with festive gusto. The day commenced with a special virtual celebration wherein students delivered speeches on the significance of the day. Students made rangoli to celebrate the day. Various other activities such as inter-house rangoli-making, candle and diya decoration, paper decoration, paper lanterns, best out of waste creations, flower arrangement and card-making contests were organised. Best pictures were shared in the online group. Principal Bikram Singh congratulated the students and encouraged them to celebrate an eco-friendly Diwali.


Manav Rachna International School, Mohali

A session on life skills was conducted. The school ensured that the students imbibe good mannerisms that speak volume about their grooming. The initiative concluded with a demo by the students that left the parents and the facilitators awestruck.


GTB International School, Kalyanpur (Dhariwal)

The school has become the first in the country to get affiliation from the Arizona State University, USA. The Arizona University will grant the diploma to the students from all over India which will enable them to get admission in American Universities after Class XII examination in India. Indian students will be able to get admission without TOFEL and SAT etc. Principal Ravneet Kaur termed this achievement a moment of legitimate pride for not only the school, but the students community from all over India.


St Joseph’s Sr Sec School, Chandigarh

A symposium on festivals was held wherein students spoke on different festivals celebrated in the country. The aim of the programme was to hone public speaking skills of the students and teach them to be articulate while expressing their thoughts. The programme was a kaleidoscope of ideas, thoughts and perspectives that enhanced the knowledge and understanding of the topic among the pupils.
