Dr CV Raman Science Club of Goodwill International School, Dhadiala Natt, organised a special programme in the morning assembly to mark World Ozone Day. The celebration began with patron of the club Gurlabh Singh formally initiating the programme. Students prepared creative posters that depicted slogans, drawings, and messages about the protection of the ozone layer. Chairman Gurdial Singh appreciated the efforts of the club patron as well as the enthusiasm shown by the students. He urged students to avoid pollution, reduce the use of plastics, plant more trees, and act responsibly towards nature. His words motivated everyone to think about their duty to protect the Earth. Principal Amandeep Singh explained the causes of ozone layer depletion, such as the excessive use of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and other harmful chemicals. He highlighted the global efforts taken by countries through agreements like the Montreal Protocol, which has been successful in reducing ozone-depleting substances.
