World Population Day observed at Motilal Nehru Public School, Jind

International Population Day was observed in the school. The objective of the programme was that children should be made aware of population growth, its impact and also the importance of environmental protection. Children showed in their charts how problems like pollution are arising due to population growth. In a competition, students analysed the impact of population in detail in their essays and children also showed their cooperation in environmental protection.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
