The school celebrated the 76th Annual Sports Day and more than 1,400 students participated to mark the day. The YPS Board of Governors, the school authorities, teachers, parents of all the students, alumni of the Silver Jubilee batch (1999), Golden Jubilee batch (1974) and the Veteran OYs witnessed the grand celebration. The day commenced with the arrival of chief guest Sunita Rani, PPS (D.R), Commandant, 1st Commando BN., Bahadurgarh, Patiala. YPS Headmaster Navin Kumar Dixit welcomed the chief guest and addressed the gathering. The ceremonial flame was lit by the four of the best school athletes and an oath-taking ceremony was administered by the school Head Boy. Around 1,400 students challenged their fitness levels and displayed perfect amalgamation of fit body and mind in various events like equestrian show, yoga, zumba, aerobics, dumbbell PT and rhythmic dance. The final rounds of various inter-house athletic events were also held. The chief guest awarded the winners of various events in a prize-giving ceremony.
