Yadavindra Public School, Patiala, celebrates Foundation Day

The school celebrated its Foundation Day on February 2. The festivities spanned two days, offering a diverse range of events that brought together students, alumni, faculty, and esteemed dignitaries. The first day commenced with a vibrant school fete, where students showcased their talents and creativity through various stalls dedicated to hobbies, games, and delectable eats. The fete was inaugurated by the Neeru Grewal. The celebrations began with a solemn ceremony paying homage to the visionary founder of the school, Maharajadhiraj Yadavindra Singh Mohindra Bahadur of Patiala, at the newly installed statue of the revered founder in the school. The ceremony witnessed the presence of Chairman, YPS Board of Governors, Raja Malvinder Singh, Rani Hari Priya Kaur, Director, YPS, Mohali, Maj Gen TPS Waraich, Lt Gen Chetinder Singh, president of AYOSA, Col RPS Brar, Lt Gen TS Shergill, Amarjot Singh Gill along with other esteemed board members, Director of YPS, Patiala, Maj Gen BS Grewal, Deputy Headmaster, Anil Bajaj, Bursar, Lt Col RD Sharma, and dedicated teachers and students. The day’s highlight unfolded with the arrival of Raja Malwinder Singh. The school flag was ceremoniously unfurled by the Head Boy and Head Girl. The school choir sang the school song, echoing the ethos and values that define Yadavindra Public School. Floral tributes were paid to the school founder as students, teachers, and school management came together in a collective homage. The day unfolded with exciting events, including a cricket match between old students and present Yadavindrians, and a basketball (girls) match. The school grounds buzzed with energy as students participated in the Pagal Gymkhana games, showcasing their prowess in various thrilling activities. The cricket match was won by old Yadavindrians , while the basketball match champions were present YPS students. The day reached its pinnacle with a grand prize distribution ceremony.
