The Primary wing of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh, came alive with colours, emotions and patriotic fervour as students celebrated Rakshabandhan in a special assembly dedicated to honouring the brave soldiers of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). Presented by the students of Class II, the celebration included a heartfelt poem, an insightful Hindi speech on the festival’s significance and a moving play titled "Raksha ka Bandhan – Bhai ke liye aur Desh ke Veeron ke liye", highlighting sibling love and respect for soldiers. The performance was complemented by a soulful choir song and a graceful dance on “O behen teri muskan”. Members of the Early Act Club extended a warm welcome to the ITBP soldiers, tying Rakhis on their wrists and presenting handmade Rakhis and letters to those posted on the border. This heartfelt gesture symbolised love, gratitude and the promise of protection. The event concluded with an interactive session in which soldiers responded to the students’ questions and shared inspiring thoughts.
