AKSIPS-45 Smart School, Chandigarh

Students won first three positions in short filmmaking on wildlife conservation competition. Daksh of Class VI, Sukhmanjit of Class VII and Shreya of Class VIII were awarded trophies and certificates. Director Principal Dr Jasmine Kalra congratulated Eco Club team members.

Sharda Sarvhitkari Model Sr Sec School, Chandigarh

As many as 125 schools participated in the Vedic Mathematics Chart Competition organised by the Punjab Prant to celebrate the 25 years of Vedic Mathematics.  This competition was organised in three categories - Bal Varg, Kishor Varg and Tarun Varg.  In the Baal Varg Category-Prem Sarita Sarvhitkari Vidya Mandir from Maloya bagged the first place, Keshav Rana from Sharda Sarvhitkari Model Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh, got the second place and Manthan from Prem Dham Sarvhitkari Vidya Mandir, Patiala, got the third place.  Muskan Mehra from Sharda Sarvhitkari Model Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh, bagged first position, Jashnpreet Kaur from  Rana Munshi Ram Sarvhitkari Vidya Mandir, Sirhind, got the second position while Gaurang from Sanatan Dharm Sarvhitkari  Vidya Mandir, Talwara, secured the third position.  In Tarun Varg category, Isha Rana from Sharda Sarvhitkari Model Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh, got the first place,Monika from Sarvhikari Senior Secondary Vidya Mandir, Barnala, got the second place, Khushpreet from ShritaraChand Sarvhitkari Vidya Mandir, Bhikkhi, secured the third position. 

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh

An online two-day cultural bonanza reached a successful culmination. The event, 23rd KJ Khosla Inter School Memorial Competition, is an annual feature, which is conducted every year to pay homage to the institution’s Former Executive Director cum vice-chairman Lt KJ Khosla. This year, the inter-school competition was based on the online solo dance competition “nrityanjali”, to pay tribute to the Bengali Polymath, Guru Rabindra Nath Tagore. The theme pertaining to the event was, ‘Shraddhanjali to Gitanjali’. The participants were adjudged on the basis of relevance to the theme, choreography, expressions and costumes. The programme began with a soulful rendition of Rabindra Sangeet. As many as 17 schools from the Tricity participated in the ‘Preliminary Round’. Later, the six shortlisted finalists, once again competed with each other during the ‘Finale Round’. Manav Rachna International School, Sector 82 A, SAS Nagar bagged the first prize. Amravati  Vidyalaya, Amravati Enclave, Panchkula, came second, while the third Prize was secured by AKSIPS-41, Chandigarh.

Ruhin of Class V won the 23rd KJ Khosla Memorial Inter School Competition "Nrityanjali" organised by Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh. The school also bagged the running trophy for the same event.

BCM  School, Chandigarh Road, Ludhiana

Keeping the festive spirit alive, Dasehra was celebrated with fervour. Tiny tots of Nursery and LKG exhibited their artsy crafty skills by making Ravana’s face. UKG students articulated their oratory skills on the festival. Headmistress Ritu Syal appreciated the efforts of students while inspiring them to follow the path of truth. Principal DP Guleria conveyed his best wishes on the occasion of Dussehra to teachers and students.

The Sky School Panchkula

A story telling competition was organised for Class II and LKG. Students narrated their favorite stories online using creative props, voice modulation and impressive expressions. The little story tellers won everyone’s heart and were applauded.

Kundan International School, Chandigarh

To raise awareness about the health and hygiene among young children, Rotary and Rotaract Club, Chandigarh, in association with IDA, Mohali, conducted an online webinar on handwashing and importance of oral hygiene for students of classes Nursery to V. The objective of the webinar was to make students understand the importance of basic hygiene to keep themselves fit and healthy. Presentations on the proper tooth brushing techniques, nail- trimming, handwashing and importance of hygiene during COVID -19 were creatively presented and explained by Dr Poonam Sood. Students were able to imbibe the benefits of hygiene at an early age which will help them to lead a healthy life in future. Principal Manjeet Jauhar made it possible for the instrumentalisation of this webinar. She applauded the efforts of Dr Poonam Sood and urged students to apply the given instructions in their everyday life for a healthy future.

New lndia Sr Sec School, Panchkula

The school celebrated Dasehra with zeal and zest. To mark Lord Rama's Victory over Ravana and to reinforce the message that good always trumps over evil, Dasehra was celebrated during the virtual classes. Different competitions were held among different categories. Puppet-making competition was held among middle class students. Kindergarten students took part in mask making competition. Director Sharda Gupta congratulated students and staff members and urged them to follow the path of truth.

MCM DAV Sr Sec Public School, Baghni, Nurpur

It is a matter of pride that students of the school qualified in the NEET 2020 in their first attempt. Swati Chouhan scored 511 marks, Aniket Koundal 510, Navdeep Singh 426, while Akash Samkria secured 404 marks. Principal MR Rana congratulated the parents, teachers and students on this great achievement.

St Soĺdier School, Mohali

The 1st day of the session for classes IX to XII began after seven months. It was heartening to see students who unexpectedly came in large numbers following all Covid rules religiously . The school had also done all preparations for the safety of students. Arrangements were made to check their body temperature at the gate and sanitizers were kept at different places. Measures were taken to ensure distancing in their seating plan. About 50% of them also used the school transport  facility.  Teachers conducted the offline and online classes simultaneously.
