Sector 15 school log 13-3 win, enter baseball semis

Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Sector 15, recorded a 13-3 win over Ajit Karam Singh International Public School, Sector 45, during a quarterfinal of girls’ U-17 inter-school baseball tournament. Carmel Convent School, Sector 9, posted a 10-9 win over GMSSS, Sector 16, and Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, defeated St Anne’s School, Sector 32, 13-2. In the last quarterfinal, GMSSS, Sector 10, posted a 5-0 win over GMSSS, Sector 8.
Meanwhile, in the girls’ U-17 football event, the team of Government Model High School (GMHS), Dhanas, registered a 3-1 win over Vivek High School, Sector 38. After a 1-1 draw in the stipulated time, the match result was decided on a tie-breaker. Tashvi scored goals for the Sector 38 team, while Karishma added a brace for the winning team. Chahat and Khushboo also scored a goal each for the Dhanas team. Carmel Convent girls defeated Kids-R-Kids, Sector 42, by a margin of two goals. Aastha and Gitansh scored a goal each for the winning side. Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary School, Sector 38, posted a 2-0 win over PMLSD Public School, Sector 32. Naman and Sukhman netted a goal each.
Chitkara shuttlers log win
The girls’ U-17 badminton team of Chitkara International School, Sector 25, posted a 2-0 win over Guru Nanak Public School, Sector 36. Carmel Convent girls defeated Ashiana Public School, Sector 46, 2-1, whereas Vivek High School defeated First Step School, Sector 26; SGGGS, Sector 35, ousted St Kabir School, Sector 26; KBDAV School, Sector 7, defeated St Xavier’s School, Sector 44; Delhi Public School, Sector 40, outplayed DC Montessori, Mani Majra; and St Anne’s School, Sector 32, beat Tender Heart School, Sector 33, by identical score of 2-0. SGGSS, Sector 32, recorded a 2-1 win over Sacred Heart team.
In the girls’U-14 kho-kho event, SGGS, Sector 35, team recorded an 18-point win over Carmel Convent School. Mount Carmel School, Sector 47, defeated St Mary’s School, Sector 37, by 10 points and St Kabir team defeated GMSSS, Sector 28, by one point. In the girls’ U-17 category, GMHS, Sector 35, defeated GMSSS, Sector 28, by one point and MDAV School, Sector 22, ousted Modern Ways School, Sector 29, by seven points. GMSSS, Sector 8, defeated Carmel Convent by nine points and Sacred Heart team ousted GMHS, Karsan, by five points.
Carmel girls win gold
Carmel Convent School won gold medal in the girls’ U-17 squash event by logging a 2-0 win over GMSSS, Sector 38 (West). GMHS, Sector 43, claimed the third position. Meanwhile, in the U-14 category, Vivek High team defeated Delhi Public School 2-0.
