Singer-composer Rocky Mittal, who has been spicing up saffron party’s election campaign since 2014 Lok Sabha elections, has finally bid farewell to the BJP.
In his new avatar, Rocky Mittal has plunged head-on into Congress’ election campaign singing paeans to Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, a development that may send alarm bells ringing for the BJP in the run-up to Assembly polls.
In his latest video song, “Mujhe maaf karna, Rahul mere bhai”, Rocky has sought apology from Rahul Gandhi for his vitriolic attacks on him and his mother Sonia Gandhi through his audio-visual projects. Another video predicts how Congress under Hooda is set to form the government in Haryana after Assembly polls.
“It was a blunder on my part to target Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi over the past decade. While the Congress was gracious enough not to file any complaint against me, the BJP government in Haryana lodged false cases against me and put me behind bars,” Rocky told The Tribune.
A former special publicity adviser to the Haryana Government, Rocky hit headlines for his song series “Modi Amritvani” on YouTube in the run-up to the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
