Hector Bellerin grabbed a last-gasp equaliser for 10-man Arsenal in a 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday as the visitors recovered from a first-half David Luiz red card to peg back the Blues twice in a pulsating London derby.

Top-four chasing Chelsea, seeking to put a stop-start run of performances behind them, started on the front foot and went ahead with a penalty by Jorginho in the 28th minute after Tammy Abraham pounced on a misplaced back pass by Arsenal’s Shkodran Mustafi and was brought down by Luiz. The result left Chelsea in fourth place while Arsenal remain in 10th place, 10 points behind Chelsea.

Tough win for Cityzens

Sheffield: Pep Guardiola admitted Aymeric Laporte’s return from injury will be key to Manchester City’s hopes of a successful end to the season after Sergio Aguero sealed a 1-0 win against Sheffield United in Tuesday’s late kick-off.

Guardiola’s side were labouring to break down Sheffield United until Aguero came off the bench to end their stubborn resistance at the Bramall Lane. City striker Gabriel Jesus had a penalty saved by Dean Henderson in the first-half but with 17 minutes left Aguero bagged his seventh goal in four appearances in 2020.

Napoli knock Lazio out

Rome: Napoli alleviated their crisis when an early solo goal by Lorenzo Insigne gave them a 1-0 win over holders Lazio in their Coppa Italia quarterfinal on Tuesday, which also featured a bizarre penalty miss by Ciro Immobile for the losers. There were also two red cards in the first half hour. — Agencies
