Six Indian cricketers, including vice-captain Smriti Mandhana, will be part of the upcoming Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL), starting October 27. Mandana was pre-signed by Adelaide Strikers.

Top-order batter Dayalan Hemalatha (Perth Scorchers) and wicketkeeper-batter Yastika Bhatia (Melbourne Stars) will make their WBBL debut. Yastika joins all-rounder Deepti Sharma at Stars.

All-rounder Shikha Pandey has been picked up by Brisbane Heat, where she joins batter Jemimah Rodrigues.

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who has played for Melbourne Renegades in the past, was not drafted.
