The students and teachers celebrated Dasehra on the school premises. The programme highlighted the importance of celebrating the festival and students were told about the ‘victory of good over evil’ by their teachers. An effigy of Ravana was burnt. Students of classes VI to VII presented ‘dandia’.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
