Ajmer scored 31 points to ensure a comfortable way of Gurukul Global School (Mani Majra) into the boys’ final in the ongoing Rao Jai Singh Memorial Basketball Tournament, held here today. The Mani Majra team logged an 81-76 win over PMLSD Public School (Sector 32) in the first semifinal of the category. Asadh (20 points) was the lone main performer for the Sector 32 team. In the second semi, Sri Guru Gobind Singh College (Sector 26) defeated Creane Memorial High School (Gaya) 66-38. Sachin (18 points) was the major the scorer for the winning side, while Jai Baburah (13 points) reduced the margin for the Gaya team.
In the Shanta H. Singh Memorial Basketball Tournament (girls), Strawberry Fields High School (Sector 26) defeated Learning Paths School (Sector 67) 58-40. Ameera scored 21 points to ensure Strawberry’s win, while Adees (15 points) was the lone main performer for Learning Paths. Vivek High School (Sector 38) also stormed into finals by defeating Chakwal National Senior Secondary School (Kurali) 43-32. Hargun scored 14 points in the Vivek High win, while Nandani also scored 14 points but for the Kurali outfit.
