Chandigarh eves, who had already qualified for the knock-out stage after winning their previous match against Mizoram, will now face seasoned Railways in the next round. The side has reached into the knockout stage for the first time.

Monika opened the innings with Manisha Badhan, however the partnership was broken by Trishna Nair as she claimed Manisha for 12. Suman (8) also did a little before falling prey to Pankul. The opener scored 67 off 128 balls, with seven boundaries and one six, to take the team’s total to 166 runs.

Priyanka Guleria (8) was the next to go after she was trapped lbw by Sariba, whereas Amanjot posted 73 off 109 balls, studded with nine boundaries, before Ayantika claimed her wicket to reduce Chandigarh to 181/5. Nandani Sharma (20) and Ambu (10) then scored unbeaten contributions to raise a 29-run partnership. The duo left unbeaten on the team’s total of 210/5 in 50 overs.
