Bhopal: Arjun Babuta won back-to-back national selection trials, while Ashi Chouksey bettered the world record en route her win. Arjun shot 252.5 in the men’s 10m air rifle T4 finals. Ashi posted a 597 in qualification of the women’s 50m rifle 3 positions T4 competition before winning the final comfortably. In the women’s 25m air pistol T4, Rahi Sarnobat finished first with a score of 33. Punjab’s Jaspreet Kaur was in second place with 30 hits.

The teenager’s time (57.33 seconds) was better than what Olympian Maana Patel (58.42) and 21-year-old Shivangi Sarma (59.05) could manage in the women’s 100m freestyle event.
