Bhawana Jat withdraws from WC, doubt over Seema Punia

Race walker Bhawana Jat has withdrawn from the World Athletics Championships, to be held in the USA next month, and veteran discus thrower Seema Punia could also miss the showpiece event while some Indians are set to qualify through the world rankings quota. The AFI said the Indian team for the global showpiece will be announced on Thursday after World Athletics publishes its list.
