Rayhan finishes seventh after shooting 2-under

India’s Rayhan Thomas registered his second top-10 finish on the Asian Tour, ending up tied-seventh at the International Series Thailand after being three off the lead after 54 holes. The UAE-based golfer was unable to replicate the magic of the second and third rounds of 63-64 as he shot a 2-under 68 on the final day to total 16-under. Gaganjeet Bhullar (67) finished tied-19th and Karandeep Kochhar (67) tied-24. Chinese-Taipei’s Lee Chieh-po claimed his maiden title on the Asian Tour.

Sharma finishes 66th as Byeong wins Genesis title

It was another disappointing week for Shubhankar Sharma, whose weekend rounds of 76-76 saw him finish tied-66th at the Genesis Championship on the DP World Tour. Earlier, Sharma had rounds of 71 and 68. Korea’s Byeong Hun An beat fellow countryman Tom Kim in the play-off to secure his second DP World Tour title.

Delhi SG Pipers signed midfielder Lucas Toscani of Argentina as a replacement for forward Christopher Ruhr, the Hockey India League franchise announced. Toscani was drafted in after Germany’s Ruhr pulled out of the tournament following an ACL injury on his left knee.

Balotelli back in Serie A after signing for Genoa

Italian striker Mario Balotelli has been signed by Genoa as a free agent, the Serie A club said, marking a return to the Italian top-tier after more than four years for the 34-year-old who has been without a club since the end of last season. Genoa, third from bottom in the standings, have scored just seven goals in nine league games, and manager Alberto Gilardino will hope that Balotelli can add to the 52 goals he netted in 141 Serie A games.
