DAV lads win taekwondo c'ship

DAV College (Sector 10) won the Panjab University Inter College Taekwondo Championship today. GGD SD College (Sector 32) claimed the second position, while Sri Guru Gobind Singh College (sector 26) finished at the third spot. In the U-58kg category, Harshit Kumar defeated Aakash to claim the gold medal. Mehul Singla and Shivam both claims bronze medal. In U-63 category, Sachin Sharma won the gold medal, while Gunjan Gaba finished second. Ashok Kumar and Siddharth won the bronze medal.
Gaurav Verma claimed the U-68 gold medal by defeating Jaswinder Singh won the silver medal. Sahil and Sandeep Singh won the bronze medal. In U-80kg category final Lakshay defeated Ritik to clinch the gold medal. Rahul Kumar and Murari Kumar Thakur claimed the joint third position. Kavya Talreja defeated Manik Singh to win the +80kg final bout. Virender and Manpreet Singh claimed a joint bronze medal.
