Mumbai, March 3
Givson Singh converted a penalty in the stoppage-time to help Indian Arrows clinch a dramatic 1-1 draw against the second-placed Punjab FC in an I-league clash at the Cooperage Stadium here today.
Veteran Sanju Pradhan had opened the scoring in the sixth minute to put Punjab ahead. Sanju Pradhan’s set-piece delivery from distance was miscued by Arrows’ keeper Samik Mitra. As a result, Punjab remain second on the table with 23 points now, while the Arrows add a point to their tally to have nine points.
Revenge on Kashmir’s mind
Srinagar: Real Kashmir will look to avenge their first leg loss to Neroca FC when the two sides square off here tomorrow. The Snow Leopards have 19 points from 13 games to be fourth in the standings. Meanwhile, Neroca are at the 10th spot after having managed 15 points from 14 matches.
Having beaten Indian Arrows 1-0 and then squandering a two-goal lead and a penalty to settle for a 2-2 draw against Aizawl FC, RKFC will look to get all the three points as they play their third straight home game at the TRC Turf Ground. — PTI
