Czech Republic’s Tomas Babek, who had won a silver in the 2017 World Championships, came in second, while Maximilian Lev of Germany took home the bronze. Earlier in the competition, the Indian teenager had won a bronze followed by a silver medal.

Pankaj Advani today claimed yet another Senior National Billiards Championship title with a 5-2 win over Sourav Kothari in a pulsating final here. After losing the first frame in the best-of-9 150-up tie, Advani bounced back with breaks of 95 and 151 to go 2-1 up. The fourth frame was snatched by Kothari with a 135 break. Advani raised his game to the next level, winning the next three frames with breaks of 135, 94 and 109 to clinch the title.

England’s Broad fined after ‘audible obscenity’ in SA Test
England fast bowler Stuart Broad has been fined 15 percent of his match fee for the “use of an audible obscenity” during the fourth Test against South Africa. Broad was cited by the match officials after Monday’s incident when he approached South Africa captain Faf du Plessis and used “inappropriate language”. One demerit point has been added to Broad’s disciplinary record. It was the second offence in a 24-month period for the bowler. Coco Gauff to join Serena on US Fed Cup team
Serena Williams will be joined by teenage sensation Coco Gauff as part of the US team that will face Latvia in a Fed Cup qualifier next month, the United States Tennis Association said on Tuesday.
