Ex-Bangla ODI captain Mortaza tests positive

Dhaka, June 20

Former Bangladesh ODI captain Mashrafe Mortaza today tested positive for Covid-19. “He has been suffering from fever for two days. Covid-19 test was conducted on Friday and we got the result today. He has been found positive,” his younger brother Morsalin Bin Mortaza told a Bangladesh news agency. “He’s now staying in isolation at home in Dhaka. Please pray for him.” — PTI

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.
