Ex-Rajasthan cricketer Vivek Yadav dies at 36
Jaipur: Former Rajasthan spin bowler Vivek Yadav died today at age 36. Yadav had been battling liver cancer over the last two years and recently contracted Covid-19. Former Rajasthan player Rohit Jhalani said that Yadav had been recovering from cancer and needed to visit the hospital regularly for chemotherapy. “That’s when he tested positive for the virus. His health deteriorated soon,” Jhalani said. Yadav, who made his Rajasthan debut in 2008, played 18 First-Class matches for the state. He was part of Rajasthan’s Ranji Trophy-winning team in 2011.
Ex-India player Kaushik being treated for Covid
New Delhi: Former India hockey player and coach MK Kaushik has tested positive for Covid-19 and been admitted to a nursing home here. The oxygen saturation levels of the 66-year-old, a member of the 1980 Moscow Olympics gold medal-winning team, keep fluctuating, according to his family. Kaushik’s wife is also getting treated at the same hospital after contracting the virus. Kaushik was the coach when the Indian men’s team won gold at the 1998 Asian Games. The Indian women’s team won the bronze at the Asian Games in 2006 under his coaching. He was given the Arjuna Award in 1998 and the Dronacharya Award in 2002. Agencies
