Chandigarh, August 28

By now he is people’s favourite pitch-invader! Daniel Jarvis, the man known as ‘Jarvo 69’, yet again on Friday returned onto the field and interrupted the ongoing India-England match at the Headingley on Day 3 of the Test match.

He returned padded up as ‘India’s No 4. Earlier also, he had invaded the pitch during the Lord’s Test, pretending to be an Indian player.

The fan, who claims to be a popular prankster, was spotted walking casually on the ground in an Indian jersey with his name on the back. He had to be escorted out after being spotted and after that he also revealed how Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Siraj reacted after spotting him.

Mohammed Siraj and Jadeja could barely control their laughter, before the man was escorted off by the security guards.

Jarvo on Friday did it again, and this time, he was dressed as a batsman of the Men In Blue right after Rohit Sharma’s dismissal, as he managed to breach security and reach the middle of the pitch.

Tis time he was wearing a surgical mask under his helmet before security personnel came and escoreted him out of the ground.

The security, when they realised what happened, they took him out of the playing area, but Jarvo again tried to convince them that he is an Indian player.

Last week, Indian players and spectators were bemused when Jarvo entered the pitch on day three of the second Test between India and England at the iconic Lord’s cricket stadium.

India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin reacted to ‘Jarvo 69’ invading pitch for the second match in a row. Ashwin tweeted, “Today’s play was as good as it can get with Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli and Jarvo showing great intent and grit! Keep going fellas and stop doing this Jarvo.”
