Haryana was in the limelight as Panchkula’s Yashaswini Deswal and Jhajjar’s Manu Bhaker won gold and silver in the women’s 10m air pistol on Day 2 of the ISSF World Cup here today.
Yashaswini upstaged the more celebrated Manu by finishing 2.1 points ahead, totalling 238.8 points to Manu’s 236.7. However, clearly feeling the after-effects of the Covid-induced hiatus, India’s shooters missed a glorious opportunity to finish the day on a high.
