Panjab University claimed second position in the recently concluded North Zone Interuniversity Table Tennis Tournament, at Chitkara University Baddi.

The local team defeated Jamia Malli Islami University (New Delhi) 3-0 to qualify for the league. In the first match, Paavan defeated Shelly 3-1, while Anjali overpowered Shweta and Pareen ousted Sakshi by identical scores of 3-0 each.

In the league stage, Panjab University defeated Kumaun University (Uttarakhand).

Paavan defeated Neetu 3-1 in the opening match, while Anjali blanked Khushboo 3-0. Pareen won the last match by defeating Pooja 3-0. In their second league match, the local outfit faced a 0-3 defeat against Delhi University. Anjali lost to Aanchal, Paavan faced defeat against Tamanna and Pareen went down against Priyanka by identical scores of 0-3. In their last league match, the Panjab University team defeated Punjabi university (Patiala) 3-2. In the first match, Pareen faced a 1-3 defeat against Neha, but Anjali level the scores by defeating Dhriti 3-0. The local side was pushed back again when. Paavan lost 1-3 to Prabhsimran. However, Anjali once again rescued the team by defeating Neha 3-1. In the decider, Pareen defeated Dhriti 3-0.
