Mbappe misses penalty as Real slump at Bilbao

Kylian Mbappe missed a penalty kick again and Federico Valverde gifted a late goal as Real Madrid lost ground to Barcelona in the Spanish league after a 2-1 loss at Athletic Bilbao.

Mbappe had his penalty saved by Julen Agirrezabala in the 68th minute, and Valverde lost possession in defence to allow an easy winner by Gorka Guruzeta in the 80th. Alex Berenguer had put the hosts ahead in the 53rd and Jude Bellingham equalised in the 78th.

Mbappe had also missed a penalty in Madrid’s 2-0 loss at Liverpool in the Champions League last week.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
