The ruthless online world.  On the Internet, people can be mean as they have the power of anonymity and there are generally no repercussions.

Mohammad Shami was subjected to trolling after the Indian pacer returned figures of 0/43 in 3.5 overs. Shami had a poor outing on Sunday and it was in his over that Pakistan completed the 152-run chase with Mohammad Rizwan depositing the Indian pacer to all parts of the ground in Dubai.

Amid all the unfortunate and shameful trolling, an old video of Mohammad Shami has surfaced where the paceman in the clip from 2017, when after losing to Pakistan, Shami courageously confronted the bullying crowd of Pakistanis.

In the video, the Indian team can be seen walk up the stairs as the Pakistan fans misbehaved with them by passing mean comments.

While the players could be seen walking quietly, one Pakistani fan, in the video, can be heard loud saying sarcastically to Indian team ‘baap kaun hai’, only Shami had the courage to confront the bullying Pakistani. The video also shows MS Dhooni trying to pacify Shami.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma can also be seen in the video.

Meanwhile, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has asked BJP government at the Centre if it condemns those trolling Indian pacer Mohammad Shami on social media following India's defeat at the hands of Pakistan in Sunday's Twenty20 World Cup match.

"There are 11 players in the team and there is only one Muslim but you are still targeting him. A win or a loss is part of the game. A team wins and another team loses but the way a player is being trolled on social media and the kind of rubbish being said about him shows how communalism and hatred has spread. Who is responsible for this," he asked during an interaction with media persons.
