PGTI-WGAI sign affiliation agreement

The two key stakeholders of Indian professional golf– Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) and Women’s Golf Association of India (WGAI)–today signed an affiliation agreement to mark the beginning of a new era for the sport of golf in India.
The agreement promises closer coordination between both bodies in the future as well as mutual recognition was signed by Gautam Thapar (President, PGTI), Kavita Singh (President, WGAI) and Champika Nanda Sayal (Secretary General, WGAI), at Gurugram.
“This initiative in essence ensures that all professional golf in India and all professional golfers, both men and women, now stand united. We now seek to collectively work towards further raising the stature of the sport in the country. With broadened cooperation and more cohesion between the internationally-recognized PGTI and WGAI, the potential for growth in the future is immense,” said Thapar.
