Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday spoke to Paralympics Silver medal winner Suhas Yathiraj and congratulated him for scripting history by becoming the first bureaucrat to win a Paralympics medal.

The Prime Minister said the nation is proud of Suhas’ achievements.
Suhas thanked the Prime Minister and said that he remembered the interaction they had after the Asian Games, where the Prime Minister had motivated the athletes.
Suhas also recalled the words of the Prime Minister before they left for Tokyo, where PM Modi asked the players to focus on their game instead of the results.
Suhas said such advice was really helpful. He also thanked the Prime Minister for the constant support to athletes.

Meanwhile, PM Modi also called Krishna Nagar and congratulated him on winning the gold medal. He lauded Krishan’s efforts and determination.
