Punjab knocked out in semifinals by Baroda

Ahmedabad: Punjab were knocked out of the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament tonight with a 25-run loss to Baroda in the semifinals tonight. Punjab, who had topped Elite Group A by winning all five matches at that stage, were knocked out after one bad day in office. Baroda put up a competitive score of 160/3 in 20 overs after being asked to bat first by Punjab, and then restricted their opponents to 135 in their allotted 20 overs. In the other semifinal, Tamil Nadu beat Rajasthan by seven wickets.
