Seasoned rifle shooter and Tokyo Olympics quota holder Sanjeev Rajput continued his good form by winning gold in the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions T4 national selection trial. The two-time Olympian thus won three of the four trials held this year. World No. 1 Elavenil Valarivan won the women’s 10m air rifle trials. Yashaswini Deswal won the women’s 10m air pistol event. Arpit Goel won the men’s 25m rapid fire pistol event. Vijayveer Sidhu was third.

India’s good run continues in World Para Athletics GP
Indian para-athletes continued their good show at the 12th Fazza International World Para Athletics Grand Prix event, winning five medals on the second day. Simran clinched gold in the women’s 100m T13 final. Neeraj Yadav won the other gold for India in the men’s discus throw F55 event. In the men’s T44 long jump final, Praveen Kumar and Pardeep finished second and third, respectively. Bhagyashri Jadhav claimed bronze in the women’s javelin F34.
