High on confidence after getting their first win in three games, Real Kashmir FC will take on former champions Aizawl FC in an I-League match here tomorrow.

After two away defeats, Real Kashmir beat Indian Arrows 1-0 at home on Monday. And Real’s head coach David Robertson said they will take advantage of the home conditions. “It is an important game and we look forward to picking up three points,” Robertson said. “The weather forecast shows overcast conditions with rain for tomorrow and that goes in our favour a little bit,” he added.

Punjab face Gokulam

Kozhikode: Former champions Punjab FC will take on Gokulam Kerala here tomorrow. Second-placed Punjab will be eyeing full points against seventh-placed Gokulam, having beaten the Kerala side 3-1 at home in January.

Punjab’s marquee striker Dipanda Dicka is just two goals shy of reaching the 50-goal mark in the I-League. Having scored nine goals this season, he shares the pole position with Mohun Bagan’s Fran Gonzalez. “I am very excited about reaching the 50-goal mark,” Dicka said. “Rather than pressure, it makes me hungrier to cross this level and then aim for the next. I always feel very motivated to play against all the big sides and Gokulam are certainly one of them,” the Cameroonian added. — TNS
