Sahil Thakur and Kavita Rani were named as best athletes during the 6th annual sport meet of CGC Jhanjeri today. Events including, 1500m, 800m, 400m, 200m, 100m, discus throw, long jump, triple jump, high jump, shot put, spoon race, chatti race, 4x100m relay race, javelin throw, 400m hurdles, Tug of War and 50m race were organised. Wrestler Babita Phogat awarded the winners along with Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC. Dhaliwal also announced to award the winners of the various inter college sports competitions, organised by IKG Punjab Technical University (Jalandhar), in coming months.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
