Sifan Hassan smashes women’s 10,000m world record

Dutch long-distance runner Sifan Hassan broke the women’s 10,000 metres world record today, clocking 29 minutes 6.82 seconds in a Continental Tour meeting on home soil in Hengelo. Ethiopia’s Almaz Ayana held the previous record of 29:17.45.

Jehan claims podium finish in Azerbaijan
Indian racer Jehan Daruvala capped off a productive outing in Azerbaijan with a seventh-place finish in the feature race of the FIA Formula 2 Championship here today. He had registered a podium finish in sprint race two earlier in the weekend. Jehan, a Red Bull junior driver, secured crucial points in all three races in his maiden run on the streets of Baku. Yuvraj wants WTC final to be 3-match showdown
Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh feels the World Test Championship final between India and New Zealand, starting June 18, should have been a three-match tie. “I feel in a situation like this, there should be a best of 3 Tests.
