Services Sports Control Board (SSCB) won the 10th Hockey India Senior Men National Championship 2020 (A Division) by defeating Air India Sports Promotion Board 3-1 at the Major Dhyan Chand Hockey Stadium in Jhansi today.

Petroleum Sports Promotion Board beat Punjab & Sind Bank 3-1 to clinch the bronze medal.

The final match between Services Sports Control Board and Air India Sports Promotion Board remained an interesting match. Both sides were neck and neck in the first half as they failed to find a goal. Services Sports Control Board however gained momentum in the third quarter and scored three goals in a quick time. Air India Sports Promotion Board found the back of the net early in the fourth quarter, but failed to capitalize the chances to register a comeback in the match. Rahul Kumar Rajbhar netted the first goal in the 33rd minute to put Services Sports Control Board ahead, followed by a goal each by Jobanpreet Singh (43rd minute) and Ajinkya Jadhav (45th). Vishnu Singh (47th) netted the lone consoling goal for Air India Sports Promotion Board.

Petroleum Sports Promotion Board )meanwhile registered a comprehensive victory over Punjab & Sind Bank to win the bronze medal. Petroleum Sports Promotion Board made a firm grip on the match throughout the entire 60 minutes. Roshan Minz put the Petroleum Sports Promotion Board ahead in the 10th minute, while Armaan Qureshi doubled the lead in the 18th minute. Captain Tushar Khandker (39th) netted the third goal for the side. Parvinder Singh (42nd) pulled off a late and only goal for Punjab & Sind Bank.
