New Delhi, September 20

For a number of years, major archery competitions were being held with iconic venues as the backdrop. Whether it was Mexico’s Mayapan Pyramids, Denmark’s 800-year-old Christiansborg Palace or Athens’ 2300-year-old Panathenaic Stadium, all these historic venues have been used as a stage for major competitions by World Archery over the years.

Importantly, the prize money will be the same for men’s and women’s archery in both the disciplines. Winners in recurve will take home Rs 1 lakh, while those winning compound competition will get Rs 75,000. Runners-up are set to take away Rs 60,000 and Rs 50,000, respectively.
