Netizens are demanding cricketer Yuvraj Singh to apologise for his casteist remark at leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal's TikTok video.
Yuvraj Singh apologise in Hindi is one of the top trends of Tuesday morning.
In an interview clip with opener Rohit Sharma, Yuvraj left a casteist remark for Chahal.
While Rohit and Yuvraj laughed off the matter, however, netizens didn't take it very well. The short clip from the interview—which was shared a month ago—made its way to the microblogging website.
Tweeple were slamming Yuvraj for casteist remark.
The hashtag #युवराज_सिंह_माफी_मांगो has so far seen nearly 20,000 tweets with users demanding an apology from the retired international.
Strict measures should be taken against all who use casteist slurs including the recent case of Yuvraj. Demeaning the Valmiki Samaj through derogatory use of "bhangi" is yet another instance showing how blind do people remain with their caste privilege. #युवराज_सिंह_माफी_मांगो— Krishna Verma ❼ (@iamKrishnaVerma) June 2, 2020

Yuvraj singh used the word Bhangi in a derogatory manner in one of his video with Rohith Sharma. This is an insult towards the Valmiki community and all those castes who are involved in sweeping, manual scavenging across the country.
Chahal has been gaining social media's attention with his dancing videos with models and family members.
