Indian tennis player Yuki Bhambri, who was ranked in the top-100 in 2018 but has no ATP ranking currently due to no activity, frittered away a one-set advantage against Aijaz Bedene in a first-round match to bow out of the Dubai Duty Free Championships here today. Talwar earns PGA Canada card

Young golfer Saptak Talwar has earned the playing rights on the PGA Tour Canada for 2021. Talwar earned the rights when he finished tied-4th at the Mackenzie Tour Qualifying Tournament in Howey-in-the-Hills (Florida, USA), with a four-round total of a 9-under. “I have been dreaming of becoming a professional golfer since the age of six and to start the journey at such a prestigious tour is truly an honour and I cannot wait for the season to start,” Talwar said. One hundred and six players competed in the tournament, played on March 2-5. The 22-year-old Talwar ended six strokes behind the tournament winner, Luis Gagne. New Delhi native Talwar shot 69-74-67-69 for a 279, with a record 21 birdies, the highest in the field. Talwar, who took up golf at age five, moved to the US after Class X in India.
