Students shine in roller skating, shooting events
OPS Vidya Mandir, Ambala
Students proved their mettle through their stupendous performance in the 34th Haryana Roller Skating Championship, 2021, at Gurugram. Adding one more jewel in the bounty of achievements, Harshiv Nagpal in age group 7 to 9 years clinched the bronze medal and Vanshika Dhillon in age group 9 to 11years secured a bronze medal. The school Management and Principal Neelam Sharma congratulated the winners, their parents and teachers for this glorious achievement.
Saupin’s School, Panchkula
Harsirat Kaur of Class III brought laurels to the school by winning a silver medal in Haryana Roller Skating Championship in 1000m race in the age group of 9 to 11 years. Harsirat is an ace skater and has already bagged many medals in various skating championships earlier also. She also got selected for national-level championship. The school management congratulated Harsirat for the splendid achievement.
Shemford Futuristic School, Pinjore
Panaah Bhugra brought laurels to the school by bagging the fifth position in the Haryana State Shooting Championship 2020-2021 held in Sonepat. In the neck-to-neck competition Panaah bagged the silver medal in sub youth, a bronze in youth, fourth position in juniors and fifth position in the category of the senior participants in Air Rifle shooting. The management and the School Head congratulated her on behalf of the entire Shemford family.
Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh
As many as students from the Sciences stream have done the Tricity proud by qualifying for the prestigious Kishor Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) Scholarship 2020. Continuing the legacy of the school in the competitive tests, Guramrit Singh of Class XII secured the 22nd rank, while Pushpraj Poonia of the same grade secured the 72nd rank. Aryan Dhaka secured the 157th rank while Ayushh and Alankrit Kadian of Class XII secured the 744th and 1359th rank, respectively. The accomplished students have cleared the SX round of the KVPY, which comprises candidates who have appeared for the science subjects in the academic session 2020-21. KVPY is an ongoing national programme of fellowship in basic sciences initiated by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to attract exceptionally motivated students to pursue research careers. Senior Principal Vineeta Arora applauded the efforts of the students and congratulated their parents on their wards’ immense achievement.
