Madhya Pradesh man alleges hospital locked him in ICU for days, faked his coma to extort money
A shocking incident took place on the streets of Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, where a man claimed to have been held captive in the ICU of a private hospital. His wife was allegedly misled into believing he was in a coma and was told additional funds were required for his treatment.
The man eventually broke free and made his way to the streets, where he shared his entire experience. A video of the incident quickly spread across social media, gaining widespread attention.
Reports suggest that the man was admitted to Geeta Devi Hospital, where the staff allegedly deceived his wife about his health in an effort to extort money. They told her that her husband was in critical condition and that she needed to raise funds for his treatment. She was able to collect Rs 50,000 and deposited it at the hospital.
Subsequently, she was reportedly informed that her husband's condition had deteriorated, and he had fallen into a coma. The hospital then demanded even more money for his care.
When the wife returned to the hospital with Rs 1 lakh, dramatic scenes unfolded on the streets. Her husband, who was allegedly bound in the ICU, managed to free himself and walk outside, revealing details of the alleged scam. He was seen on the street wearing only shorts, with a tube attached to his nose.
A video of the incident quickly went viral and sparked widespread outrage on social media. Many people are now calling for an investigation into the matter.
