Pope Francis (88) was in a critical condition on Saturday after he suffered a long asthmatic respiratory crisis that required high flows of oxygen, the Vatican said. The Pope, who has been hospitalised for a week with lung infection, also received blood transfusions after tests showed a condition associated with anaemia.
