Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor’s camaraderie was one of the most talked-about at the promotions of their film “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” in 2016. In a viral video, during an interview with Mastiii, the duo shared some candid details about their friendships and relationships. In a particularly fun segment, Ranbir dropped a bombshell, proclaiming Anushka as the ‘champion’ of friend-zoning people.

He revealed that one of Anushka’s actor friends had actually fallen for her, but she had friend-zoned him. Anushka caught by surprise, quickly shared her perspective. She said that growing up in an army household – her father served in the army – she had always had male friends. For her, friendships transcended gender, and she’d never thought of them in a romantic context.

Ranbir said, “Yeh ladkon ko samajh mein nahi aata hai. Accha, iske saath mujhe pata hai, jo acchi dosti dosti mein unko isse pyaar ho gaya hai.” He added, “Main sirf yeh bolunga uska bhi surname Kapoor hai.”

Anushka responded by saying, “Main na army background se aati hun actually. Toh kya hai ki hum log…Mera aisa hee nahi tha ki meri ladkiya hee friends thi. Hum log kitchen sets ke saath khelte the. Aisa nahi tha. Toh hum log matlab…ladko ke saath khelte the.”
