Chinese crane firm offers Rs 70 crore bonus to employees in 'grab-what-you-can' challenge

A crane company in China has reportedly offered its employees a whopping $11 million, approximately Rs 70 crore, as an year-end bonus.

But, the company had one condition, take home as much as you can count.

The cash was laid on a table and the employees had 15 minutes to grab their bonus at Henan Mining Crane Co. Ltd.

The video, which were shared on Chinese social media sites, including Douyin and Weibo, in no time went viral.

The viral clip shows stacks of cash spread across a long table and the employees collecting as much as possible.  An employee reportedly collected 1,00,000 yuan, approximately Rs 12.07 lakh in the 15 minutes time.

"Henan company is giving out millions for its year-end bonus. Employees can bring home as much cash as they can count," read the caption on the video.

Social media has a mixed to the company's offer.

Some appreciating the generosity, while others questioned the offer.

This is not the first time Henan Mining Crane Co. made headlines for its lavish bonuses. In 2023, the company distributed a significant amount of cash to its employees during its annual dinner.
