Two incidents at the Mahakumbh have gone viral, sparking discussions on social responsibility and misinformation.

In the first case, an 80-year-old woman, Rekha Dwivedi, was abandoned by her four sons, including a lawyer and a lecturer.

She wandered alone for three days before a viral video by a journalist brought her plight to light.

When contacted through the lost and found centre, her sons refused to take her back.

One son stated, "We have nothing to do with her, goodbye."

The video has drawn widespread criticism, with many condemning the growing trend of elderly abandonment.

In another incident, a group of women was caught travelling without tickets at Buxar Railway Station. When questioned, they argued that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had allowed free travel for women. Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Jayant Kant Chaudhary clarified that no such policy existed, yet the women continued to insist on their claim.

The video of their interaction has amused many online, highlighting how misinformation can lead to misinterpretation of rules.

Both incidents, though unrelated, reflect societal concerns—one about neglecting the elderly and the other about how misinformation can mislead people.
